Lisa is passionate about teaching people about food and eating clean. As a mom of two beautiful children, she understands the demands of being a full time mom and how tired our bodies can get from putting ourselves on the back burner. Wanting to teach others how to feel good with their bodies on the outside as well as the inside prompted her to get fully certified to teach. Lisa was certified with CanFit Pro in 2009. Although her certification is new, she has lived with the belief that our bodies need to BE strong to FEEL strong.
She has always had a passion for food – gourmet club, owned her own catering company and currently leads a group of volunteers in running a healthy snack program where they teach nearly 600 students about making healthy snack choices.
Food awareness is an important part of maintaining optimum health. The word “diet” is not in Lisa’a vocabulary, but rather it is her personal philosophy that “what we put into our bodies is what we get out”….most of us know that quick fixes and fad diets are not successful for long term weight control and optimum health.
Now, her newest venture, FLOWFIT blog will offer what she loves most – information sharing. It is one of Lisa’s goals to not only bridge the gap between diet and long term lifestyle changes but to create a trickle-down effect of healthy living to our children. We teach our children by example. Change begins with us, one day at a time.
